February Already???

I simply cannot believe where the time has gone, before we know it another year will be gone.

Sorry for my absence, so much has been going on, and I had so many wonderful gifts for Christmas that my time is spent.....well doing other things.

Here's a brief run down. THE most wonderful hair straighteners, which have cut my hair straightening time in half, improved the straightness of my hair so that it actually looks straight instead of half straightend....and heat up in seconds!

A sat nav for my car. Which of course has had me scouring the web for voices to add to it, so far Michael Caine is the favourite. You have reached your destination, and notta lotta people know that. This has given me the chance to go further afield, ok so I haven't as yet, but I will need to in the future, but more of that later!

Not exactly a Christmas present for me, more of an impulse share present from hubby, we now have a Nintendo WII games console. So everynight as soon as I get home, or every day if I'm not at work, I spend at least an hour playing tennis. At first I would be out of breath and worn out....now I'm nearly up yo pro level and hardly shed a breath! I adore the bowling, and am getting to grips with the baseball.

We have a few games, wii sports, golden compass, the sims castaway, wii play to get an extra remote, desktop driving which I simply cannot do, and High School Musical sing it, complete with microphone and Whisky singing away quite happily, but annoyed that the american actresses in the films have such high voices!

I have also started writing. Not my psychological thriller, murder mystery phorensic supernatural book. But, a childrens novel that I have had in my head since I was about ten years old. My Sis In Law has read the first chapter to Little Miss Pink and Little Miss Purple and they loved it.....I'm on chapter nine now and WILL finish it soon, then copyright it and start posting to publishers.

As you can see time filled to the brim. I even said to hubby that I was so lucky, with him being away most of the week I have soooo much choice, what to do, play the WII, play with the sat nav, write some more of the novel? The he comes home with my early birthday present!!!

Oh Joy of joys!

I have always worshipped, loved and adored Karen Carpenter. She has been my heroine since I was introduced to her music aged twelve. THE most amazing voice, incredible song writing talent, and she could play the drums. SInce then I managed the singing, although not to her ability, but someone once told me I sounded like a cross between Patsy Cline and Karen Carpenter! But, my reaction was COUNTRY MUSIC Arrrrgh! I should've listened and taken the chance. But hey ho.

Anyway.....back to the birthday present. Hubby led me to the boot of the car where there was the largest box ever. From my view I immediately thought OH NO not another television.....then he lifted it out. A flat screen tv it was NOT!

I am now the proudest owner of my very own drum kit!

And.....the best thing ever, I can play. Ok only a little bit, but it feels "homely" to be sat there sticks in hand tapping out a beat. I am following lessons on you rube, and I can pick them up within half an hour. Someone I was talking to last week said for me to be able to do that I must be anatural.

All I need now is a male who can play the keyboards, and we have a Carpenters Tribute act! Well.....I'd better learn the drums properly first!

So now, time choices, write novel, check blogs, play wii, check e mails, work, eat sleep, play with sat nav, play with Nintendo ds, write novel, read, eat sleep, PLAY WITH DRUM KIT.

Blogging.......I let it slip, sorry.

But I will try and be more proactive.

And that leads me nocely to my promotion at work!

I have been promoted, after being interviewed by my own manager, and have extra responsibilities. I have been given the chance to build a better relationship with the customers, meeting up with them once every three to six months, hence the sat nav will come in handy as they are all over the country! and put my proactivity skills to good use.

Yayyyy!!!!!

So far 2008 is a rockin!

Love n hugs to everyone
and thankyou for still popping by to check on me, and the comments, it means a lot.

A Four Letter Word.....

The heating is fixed, our home is lovely and warm, hot baths really are taken for granted when you have no hot water!

This week seemed full of just one thing, WORK. I'm sure I have mentioned we are one person down on our team (another four letter word), and this has a dramatic knock on effect for the three remaining people. Our company is so busy at the moment it's unbelievable. We usually work in 3rd gear in the mornings and sometimes have to pump it up to 4th or even 5th gear to get the overnight orders completed. These last three weeks we have all been in 6th gear and buzzing. Thankfully the three of us that are left work well together. I worked with Supervisor S before my time off ill, and we know each other's working techniques, strengths and weaknesses. J on the other hand, has moved in from another department and until recently seemed to be focusing on the old things he used to do.

The week before last he came out with a statement that surprised me. He noticed the difference since the other person left, and now he is as caring as Supervisor S and I. We pull together for each other, we multiskill, offer advise and keep each other smiling and laughing....otherwise we would all simply crack!

I had a phone call yesterday from Boss S, a different person to Supervisor S, asking if I could do some extra shifts for the next couple of weeks. I was well ahead, my thoughts about five minutes ahead of hers. I said I could do Monday and Friday afternoons to help out until a replacement person is found.

Only when I came of the phone did I grin at Mum and say it wouldn't be for a "couple of weeks" only one, as after this next week hubby and are away for a week.

I gave in after ten minutes, rang Boss S and reminded her of this, and heard the panic in her voice. ANother solution would have to be found for the week after next, but at least next week is covered.

My "oppo" who works Mondays and Fridays while I work the middle of the week, will be doing extra days as well. I love it when this happens. We used to work full time together although she was then in a different department, so I missed working with her. Knowing that when I am not at work it is her doing "my" work and vice versa (I hope). Makes me feel secure. She is as fastidious as I am, and I know everything will be done, and perfectly.

Ohhh I'm looking forward to seeing her again next week. I happened two weeks ago, we were together, and we classed as the terrible two some. BUT, the work was done, and everyone enjoyed us laughing and joking as me and my oppo simply bounced off each other like old work colleagues do.

So...a tiring week ahead methinks. But, I have the thought in my head that on Saturday we are flying once more to Mallorca. Not to the security and homely feeling of Cala D'or. But to a place just 5 miles from the airport. Near a beach, essential, has a pool, essential for hubby, but most of all, together, in the sun or the rain whatever it happens to throw at us. A week of talking, walking eating and laughing. What more could a girl ask for?

I forgot to mention, I went out on Tuesday night. To a theatre to see someone quite famous of a tv show or two. Think Most Haunted and Spirit towns and you have the man. I know Navie Wifey will be extremely jealous! What happened will be a post in itself, but I was enthralled. No messages for the three of us that went together, but it was fascinating.

So the next post will be about.......messages.

Love and hugs

F...F....F...Freezing!

Since Thursday we have had no hot water and no heating. The boiler man came and we needed a new pump so it should be fitted today. As soon as it's done the heating will be turned up to the max, a hot bath will be ran and I will soak up the warmth.

Thankfully Mum let me use her facilities on Saturday and I had lovely bath and washed my hair. It did take me nearly an hour to dry and straighten it, but if you're reading Mum....Thankyou!

Yesterday was was spent with Sis In Law, Mr Bleach, Little Miss Purple and Little Miss Pink. A lovely roast dinner, crafts, walking, snuggles and secrets.

No doubt Sis In Law found my secret, and don't go blaming the girls, and I bet it was a shock ;)

Our neighbours are still on top form, making a much noise as possible as early in the mornig as possible. No Lie in's for me :(

So I'm tired.....I'm cold, but I'll carry on regardless. I've got nothing to complain about really.

Work has been extremely busy, one person down and we are realy feeling the strain, but! we have pulled together as a team of three and made it work. One of our three even noticed the difference in the team now that the other person has left. It's much nicer, we all work together, and more importantly we all care about each other. He admitted it made him want to work harder so he could help us the way we are helping him. We are team!

Anyway......I'll try and blog more regularly, I didn't want people to think I was being disrespectful in any way. I hope you are all well, thankyou for sticking by me and reading my here and there posts.

Responsibilityyyyyyy!!!!

Yesterday at work my dream came true! A few times now I have been asked to "supervise" in the absence of our team leader, much to the diasgruntlement of some people (persons non plural). Boss S says I have done well.

Well......yesterday I was asked to train a new person on one of our most difficult tasks/systems. It went well, we both enjoyed it, and the lady I trained said she really enjoyed it!

I think I'm a little bud slowly beginning to come into bloom, and I love it!

The new/old Whisky is finally back in the forefront, and almost on the top of the ladder that two years ago I was peering up at with trepidation.

Watch out guys..............here I come!!!

Working Girl

I've had requests for me to start blogging again! Not that I had stopped, just not had enough time. Well one request LOL. And, it can't be about Jensen Ackles Boooooo!

So much has happened at work. New team members, people's attitudes changing, other people pulling together to try and make it work. It WILL work. We work darned hard, and over the last two weeks I have had three or four instances of people telling me how good I am. That makes me happy. I love my job, but to have customers telling you that there should be more people like me on the sales desk means a lot. To have a "special customer" who I shouldn't deal with ask for me and only me to get their proof of deliveries as he "knows he will get them sorted when I do them" boosts my confidence no end.

I was so worried about returning to work after two and a bit years off. Scared people wouldn't accept me back into the fold. Scared I woldn't be "up" to the job. Well I've proved myself wrong. I'm happy, I love it, yes it's hard work, but I can do it, I am back in the fold, and I'm reaping the benefits from the customer's and from Boss S as well :)

She see's me as reliable, hardworking, flexible, but most of all able to ask if I'm not sure. I won't just quote for 57 thousand pounds worth of pipe without letting soeone know that there is a backlog of four weeks, I will let her know I am trying to get the four weeks down to three, then quote. I put that extra in, then hopefully smile when we get the order :)

Yes, hubby is still working away. I miss him like crazy......except for the fact that all he does at the weekend is tell me to tidy up! Hence being in the kitchen when Sis In Law rang. I cook for myself all week apart from one night, I stay in the house on my own, I work, and when I'm not working I catch up on my sleep, I do the washing up, the washing, and his new rule? I cook at the weekends too now. Then he asks me why I haven't tidied up?! Gggggrrrrr! I'm not and never will be 100% hubby, and you should realise that. I might be known as wonderwoman at work.....but at home I'm plain old Whisky!

There have been things going on in the back ground too. Things I don't want to blog about until I find the answers. I know that family read this, and they know what I mean. Let's just say I worry too.

So......my one request for blogging has been fulfilled, and all because I swapped my days working at work due to holidays. Hopefully Friday I will blog again.....woooohoooo!

**Makes mental note that on Saturday I have something to post***

Love and hugs for now.

Ola!

Yes, we are back from our lovely holiday in Mallorca.

I have photographs, and a video to upload of me being taken on stage by one of the members of a Take That Tribute band. The first week I just wanted to sit on the stage, the second week the guy dragged me up again as he knew I would go and that would encourage others to come up as well. It was fun and they were brilliant.

Our accomodation was cr**, but we made a brilliant holiday out of it. We've also book in a different aparthotel for September........16 weeks and 1 day to go!!!

Hubby's birthday went really well, he was presented with a birthday cake hat by the four waitresses at the restaurant, it was sent over by Mum and Dad, hidden in my suitcase, and he loved it and wore it all night. I also have photo and video evidence of this, as the Take That lad's took him on stage to sing happy birthday to him :)

So....we are both well tanned, and reasonable relaxed, but...both back at work :(

It was good to get home, to see Sis In Law, Mum and Dad and of course Snoopy bird.

I'll blog more next week, hopefully with the pictures and maybe even a you tube video or two!!

For now,

Love and hugs

A Fond But Brief Farewell

This time tomorrow hubby and I will be hurriedly packing any last minute items for our trip to Cala D'or in Mallorca.......and I can't wait.

After six months of being back at work, and hubby working away from home it will be wonderful to spend so much time together and completely relax. It's a self assembled holiday, not a package tour, and the only thing I am worried about is the drive from the airport to the apartments. I'm sure we can do it from memory as this will be our third visit there, but it's slightly different not having a coach driver do all of the work for you, and I've got to map read!!!! Aaaaaaaargh.

Once there panic stations......will we have one of our previously holidayed in apartments? I hope so, after all it is our third stay with them, and we are going back in September as well.

The weather forecast looks like a steady 26 degree's with some cloud. But....it is purely a relaxation holiday. If the weather is bad, with us having the car this time we can explore the island and visit markets. :) shopping and exploring cool!!

As long as I'm with hubby who cares!

So, last day at work today, and it has been absolutely manic, manic, manic. We don't know if we are coming or going, phones ringing off the hook and orders galore, but that's good for business :)

Tonight, a quick trip to Mum and Dad's to drop off Snoopy bird, then Chinese, last minute packing and weighing of cases, and hopefully sleep. For some reason last night I only slept for two hours! Up and down to the toilet, and no I hadn't had an exessive amount of fluids! Yaawn.

My only regret is that I will miss two whole episodes of Supernatural! The dvd will be set, and if NTL/Virgin decide to mess with our box they will have me banging on their door! My box set part one of series one arrived yesterday courtesy of e bay......and I can't wait to watch it when I get back :)

For now......take care all,

See you on the other side of the holiday.

Enough Already!!!

Ok, so last week at work was ermmmmm manic to say the least. I've started doing the strangest things. We have doody headsets which enable us to walk around the office, to the fax machines or filing station and still answer calls, or be talking to customers. It's cool, and I feel like a robotic Whisky. But....I'm getting confuddled at times. I have to swap ears occasionally, as now I'm wearing glasses full time they tend to dig in with the head set.

To answer a call on the head set you need to press a small button that is situated over your ear (but on the headset, get it?). So swap ears, go to answer call, wrong ear! There's me, pressing my ear instead of the button on the headset! D'oooh.

I get it, press the button, the hand set on the phone doesn't lift up immediately so I press the button again, just as the head set lifts up and cut off the call. Double D'oooh.

I'm speaking to a customer, they say good bye, and instead of pressing said button on headset I press F1 on the computer keyboard to go back a screen. Triple D'oooh.

Or, if I need to call someone I dial there number on my ginormous calculator and wonder why the phone isn't ringing!!

Oh, and I forgot to mention, in my confusion I even managed to staple my finger. Yes......I mean actually put a staple in my finger. For some reason it didn't fold over like it does on paper, maybe that's because the bone was in the way!!!!

Believe it or not with all of that going on I still manage to take at least one hundred calls a day :) as well as keying or transferring edi orders in multitudes. So much so that in one day last week I rang the bell twice, indicating 20,000.00 of orders. I then tang the bell twice for The Gentleman, and for Supervisor S. Unfortunately we can't add up the amounts over the value of the 10,00. Eg, one of my orders was for 27, and Supervisor S's for 23, therefore it really could have been 5 rings not four. Not four, not fair!!

I read my horoscopes, I love them, as well as Angel cards, Tarot cards and anything slightly psychic. But, I really listen to my horoscopes. (Imagines Sis In Law saying "Here we go" right now).

Well,.....yesterdays horoscope said. You can turn an annoying work colleague into a friend. How's that for accuracy. I will, well I'll try. I am amicable at work. I will never ever ignore someone simply because of their upbringing. I may not enter into personal chit chat with them, but I will engage in work talk. Maybe behind her hard outer spoken words there is a caring person inside. I will make it my challenge to find out, and bring that caring person forward!!!

Or at least point out to her that telling someone that their body clock is ticking away due to their age is not something that should be said if you don't know anything about the person!!

I did however make one of my Whisky slip ups whilst talking to her last week, and I have to add here that I DID apologise profusely afterwards as witnessed by almost the whole office with me red faced.

The conversation went like this.....

S=other person
W= Whisky

S - I need one of your Pipeline orders please.
W - ok, they should be somewhere in here (grabbing my complete section of P orders from my file and starting to flick through them)
W- Someone's been in my filing, it's all messed up!
S - Well it wasn't me I only looked in the B's earlier.
W- No, I know it wasn't you, but look...... (holding up an order that in no way shape or form belonged in the letter P section and stating loudly)

There's no F in P's!!!!

Now say that to yourself out loud, come one I dare you.....get it......get it?!

CLICK!

I as I mentioned, immediately went into apologetic mode.

W- Oh My, I'm soooooo sorry, I really didn't mean that to sound how it did. I would never swear at anyone. Oh I'm sooooo sorry!!

S- (Laughing) (Me laughing nervously and getting redder and redder) It's fine, don't worry, at least we can laugh about it!

I then notice that most of the sales team is looking at me, trying to work out whether it was a deliberate mistake or not. They notice how embarrassed I am and work out it was a mistake. I get looks that indicate to me, "You couldn't have planned that any better" or "you go girl!" and we all fall about laughing.

At least it made me realise this person has a sense of humour.....and I swear, I will find the good in her and bring it forward. That is my mission.

This week is going to be absolutely manic. If want to see hubby at all in the next two weeks, including a bank holiday, I have to drive up to Liverpool. Hello...this is me that's only ever driven on the smallest motorway in the UK!!! That's a two hour drive on major motorways!

Either I drive up to him for a long weekend, or I travel on the train. Do I prefer driving in the safety of my own car, in my own speed, or travelling on a vehicle I have no control over with gawd knows how many other people on board? Hmmmm methinks the car with the mp3 blaring loudly chain smoking all the way to curb the nerves whilst listening to hubby's Tom Tom.

Wish me luck!

So, Monday, shopping with Mum :) Tuesday through to Thursday work full time. Friday, lie in, pack, and drive for two hours. SPend weekend up until Monday with Hubby and his work colleagues, oh yeah, he is working by the way. All the more time for me to sleep in the hotel room yessssssss.

Drive home, and chill before going back to work on Tuesday.

Scared? Who me? Nooooo

Absolutely terrified!!!!!!!!!!

Love and hugs, and remember, there's no F in P's!!!!

Verbatum Impersonal Questioning

Ok, there may have been some confusion about the last post. The remarks were yet again made by someone at work, not the same person as last time, but someone new. Someone I took an instant dislike to.....and without my influence other people dislike too. We now are placing bets as to whether this person will last any longer than six months with the company.

Wednesday 8am, I stroll into work early, unpack my flask and cold drinks and this person walks over. I turn on pc ready to quietly sit and read blogs and sip my milky coffee before starting work. Here's the conversation word for word (verbatum) with relevant capital letter indicating emphasis on relevant, annoying, words. Remember this person has known me for only two weeks, in working terms thats six days, 7 1/2 hours per day = 45 hours.

W = Whiskyminx
RP = Relevant Person

RP- Wow! Do you have an energy drink EVERY day.
W - Only at work
RP- WHY?
W - I need it due to my illness
RP- WHAT illness
W - I Have Crohn's Disease (already feeling uncomfortable talking about my disease to someone I hardly know!)
RP_ WHAT'S THAT!
W - Ulceration of the bowel, anywhere from the mouth to bowel (standard answer to this question)
RP- So I guess the tablets you take make you SLEEPY so you need the ENERGY DRINK to keep you AWAKE.
W - Sort of
RP- Do you have kids
W - No not yet (standard answer) ( I normally reply here with a sense of humour either, too busy practising, or hubby is a big enough kid as it is)
RP- HOW long have you been married
W - Fifteen years this year
RP- YOU'VE been married for FIFTEEN YEARS and you DON'T HAVE KIDS!!!
W - Yes, but we've been together for 20 years (trying to firstly, understand why she is asking me such questions, and create some sort of distraction)
RP- But WHY don't you have kids
W - (by now beginning to lose my temper and my cool) As yet I haven't been healthy enough
RP- But I have TWO KIDS how can you cope with NO kids, and your ILLNESS as well
W - I just do, I have a sense of humour (thinking unlike you) that helps me through.
RP- Wow, where I come from EVERYONE has kids

I now undo my flask, pick up my cup and decide to fill it with warm calming coffee, rather than throw the heavy mug at her head from two feet away.
W- Oh well.

Thankfully at this point she walks away, how she didn't feel my eyes burning into the back of her head I don't know. The Gentleman walks in, and he instantly knows something is wrong. I blurt something out in a whisper, and then spend the rest of the morning in such a foul mood, that even J who sits opposite me is scared to talk to me "in case you bite my head off", and the customers are asking if I am ok.

Still fuming after lunch, I decide to take a "personal affair" toilet trip, cry my eyes out for four minutes to get it out of my system, and then am back to normal.

Supervisor S knew something was wrong, she asked me at least eight times if I was ok. I don't want to mention this to Supervisors or management. I don't want it to seem as if Whisky is ganging up on the New Girl just because she comes from a different country. And no its not America or Germany!!!!!

I know she has had a completely different upbringing, one that is obviously led by being forthright, extremely curious, and extremely uncaring and unsympathetic towards how others might feel by her probing.

I've decided, and I've already acted on my decision. I will answer her work related questions willingly, showing no dislike. Her personal questions next time will be met with my sarcasm. I WILL turn it around somehow without making a fool of myself. She HAS to learn that people have feelings, and not everyone is up to her standards.

I also have to reiterate here, that everyone else at work is wonderful. I am within the most supportive sales, and customer service, and technical team I could be (excluding the new entry). The directors and my manager have been more supportive regarding my return to work than I could ever have imagined. I have never had a cross word with anyone I work with, unless they have annoyed me, and that takes a LOT.

How many people can walk around a company of one hundred office staff, and everyone asks how you are, did you have a good night, weekend, if there's anything I can do to help just give me a shout, AND KNOW that they mean it.

I am lucky to work for a company that treats you as an individual, not a number or an automaton. Where even the Managing Director asks about your health, say's it's good to have you back at work, and sends you a Birthday card! Where the sales manager always says hello, compliments you on ringing the bell for a £10,000.00 order, and winks everytime he walks past you (In a non sexual way!!!).

Where both your supervisor, and you manager thank you for the work put in every day, and I mean EVERY day. It's a pleasure to be there. Yes it's damned hard work, keying up to 200 orders a day, or processing up to 600 edi orders, deadlines to meet, as well as taking calls, solving problems etc etc. But we are admired for our work! We are thanked for our work! We enjoy being together as a team, and that is wonderful.

Yes I look forward to the weekend, my weekend starting on a Thursday night. I want to go into work on Friday's, but knowing the lack of sleep would do me no good I don't. Hubby home at the weekends leaving on Sunday night. The only thing that stops me from going into work on a Monday (free from pay), is taking my Mum to Morrisons and Tesco to help with Dad not driving any more. Then Monday night, I watch my pre recorded Supernatural, drool over Jensen Ackles, and go to bed looking forward to getting up at 6.30am and going into work...............and anyone who knows me from previous jobs will know that for me that is a miracle....hehehehehehehehe!

Anyway, I think I've made up for not blogging for a week and a bit, apart from the shirt post the other day.

Love and hugs to all, especially Holli and Nana.

Update

Yes I'm still here! Just working hard at work with not much time to play........well not too much anyway.

I have discovered that I can do a good impression of Dancing On Ice using my office chair....I just need to remember to check no one is in my way in case I poke their eye out on the triple axle :)

Sorry Sis In Law.....I'd already crashed when you rang, then woke up, then couldn't get back to sleep again. All is well.

Off to France tomorrow for some more essential supplies. Crisps, ravioli, energy drinks and rhubarb jam :)

Posting from work before I start, so I really can't type too much just in case :)

One worn out hardworking girl clocking in.

Hugs and Love

Overhearing Things Makes Me Paranoid

At work on Wednesday I overheard a conversation. It's not exactly difficult to overhear as all there is between us is a blue separating board. Four people, having a normal conversation, one that soon went to "toilet talk". It started off quite innocently, saying how men miss their aim etc etc. Then it went further. Before I type this, I want to make it clear, that I didn't hear the full conversation as I was on the phone and keying orders. I don't know the exact context of the conversation. It could have been while they were out, in pubs, in town, in clubs, or, it could have been at work.

It basically went along the lines of the smell people leave behind after their natural ablutions. Yes I know, not a lovely subject o blog about, but not a lovely subject to listen to either! It continued saying that if it's your own smell it's not so bad, you don't notice it. Then it went to walking into a cubicle after someone else had "been". Then came the crunch line. Someone said, Even if people are on medication there is no excuse to leave THAT kind of smell behind!

My brain automatically directed that conversation at me. I re iterate here, that it could well have been about no one in particular, but I took it personally. Now I am back at work, I try to always use the disabled toilet downstairs where no one else goes. But on the odd occasion I HAVE to use the upstairs toilet, I spray my special ostomy deodorant as much as I can. I know the scent I leave behind is offensive. It's even offensive to me, and I have to live with it!!!

If that conversation wasn't directed at me then fair enough. If it was.......I'm sorry if the illness I have meant I had to have an ileostomy bag, which I have no control over which leaves an offensive smell when I "go to the toilet". The fact that had I not had said ileostomy bag I would be dead, of course counts for nothing. If people have a problem with the smell I occasionally leave behind, through no fault of my own. Talk to me! Tell me. I'll agree with you, and explain why I cannot control it. Explain to you that unless you have eaten a dodgy curry you have the option of waiting until you get home, which was also mentioned!

I cannot do that. Unless you want me to float on the ceiling while trying to key orders, occasionally I have to use the toilet to prevent this. I get wind as well you know!!!!!!!!! You can "botty burp" discreetly. I have to place a hand over my tummy hoping no one will hear the squeaks and gurgles I can't control. You'll normally hear me say...."Oh no here we go" and try and sing as loudly as possible to cover my tracks.

I was fuming. SO much so, that I ended up with tears streaming down my face as I told Supervisor S. The Gentleman wanted to go and have a word.....nooooooo. I don't like confrontation! If anyone will talk to them it will be me, gently throwing into the conversation when I feel ready.

Strangely though, two of the people concerned in the conversation have been unusually nice! One talking to me when she wouldn't normally, the other, after me mentioning I felt as if I had a cold coming on, was almost on her knee's praying I didnt. Saying she hoped so much I didn't end up with a cold, calling me Babe. Hmmmmm methinks a quiet word has already been had.

All I can say is, thank goodness for the disabled toilet. I can go in there, with no fear of anyone going in after me. I spray my blackcurrant spray twenty times exactly. The next time I go in there the smell of blackcurrants fills the air :)

I have even started just taking my spray with me, just in case people think I am going in their for other reasons, like a crafty cigarette, which I would NEVER do! But, I know other people have, I have smelt it! The smoke detector obviously is fake LOL. The only reason I will take my handbag is if I need "other things", that I cant fit up my sleeve, if I am wearing a short sleeved tee shirt LOL LOL LOL.

I'm still angry about it now. I never use the toilet at my In Laws for that exact reason. But soon they will have three toilets, so it will be fine. If I go to Sis In Laws I leave the window open, and spray furiously. If I'm at home, I live with it. Thankfully so does hubby.....but then again, he's in competition with me anyway :)

We have automatic air fresheners on the landing just to cover my tracks.

Just remember. My bag gave me life. If it wasn't for that, I would have died fourteen years ago. I had the option. Have the bag, or don't. They gave me that option. That chance to give up then, and I didn't. One thing I will not do is give up. (as you may have noticed by the length of this post!).

I'll just keep slapping on the perfume, and love the comments I keep getting that I smell nice. Angel perfume is my rock, my crutch, my cover up, and I adore it!

For now, sorry to ramble, sorry to go on and on and on.

Love and hugs

He He He I Got The Finger :)

I got reviewed over at Ask And You Shall Receive Please excuse their html wording! Well I asked, and I received. I got the burning finger, which basically means......my blog, to them, is crappy.

Sorry I wasn't an attractive man you could lust over :( and yes, I know my posts are loooooong, and some may thing boring. And I'm sorry my template didn't load in firefox, and that you think the girl on it is freaky.....wait why am I apologising? You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time :)

But thankyou for not cleaning out the fridge and doing the review!

Anyway, back to the long boring posts.

Work yesterday was manniiiiic! I got the edi's, and the orders were rolling in, until the sales meeting all was just about ok, but then we lost some time and it was hard to catch up. We all pulled together and got it done. Wooohooo.

Oh yes, and I opened my trap and gave K the link to my blog. K, if you read this, please, please, remember it's me. The real me, not the sometimes snappy when stressed nutter you see at work. Please, please, there are things on here that are mentioned about work. Please remember, the last two years have been hard for me. I was close to losing it completely. My sanity, and my will to live. The thought that work might not have me back played on my mind constantly. The thought that when I went on my "secret", but recommended by my surgeon, and the disability rights comission holiday I condstantly thought people were watching or recording me freaks me out. I even thought that the night we sat next to a woman who was alone on holiday, that she was a private detective employed by work to see what I was up to. Please, don't hold my holiday against me before my return to work. Remember the photo I showed you of me and hubby on my phone? You asked when ti was taken. I fibbed and said it was three years ago in Tenerife. It wasn't. It was on my secret holiday. I'm sorry for lieing to you! Please forgive me.

The fact that while I was away I couldn't walk out of the apartment for three days due to injuring my back was probably my commeuppance for being on that holiday.

It got me walking, it got me sitting on a chair, it got me used to being in crowds of people. If it wasn't for that holiday, I wouldn't be able to walk/run around the office now without a limp. Sit on my chair. Or even be within a group of four people without being terrified.

I may come accross as confident. But belive me, I have more fears than you would believe.

I love my blog, and the people who read it. It's kept me sane for the last nearly two years. A place I can say whatever I like without fear of repercussion. I would love it if you become a regular reader, and leave comments too. But be warned, this is the real me. Complete with anger, tears, problems, milky coffee's and road rage.

K, I still have to think of a nickname for you. But right now I'm thinking The Gentleman. Because that is exactly what you are. A gentle man. Kind, caring, and most of all, and don't let anyone else tell you any different. Hard working. I remember the comment you made "some people think I don't do much". I don't know who or what gave you that idea. You have a job to do, you do it, and you do it well. NEVER let anyone else tell you otherwise. I hope you stay, I enjoy working with you, I am grateful that if I am stuck you will help me out. I love rolling over to your desk for our little chats. You truly are, and are now rechristened "The gentleman".

What did that review site say about long posts!

Last night I got home, I fell asleep on the sofa, and only woke up because although I still had tummy ache, I was hungry. All I could face eating was a pot noodle, and I had just boiled the kettle when hubby rang. It was only 8 oclock, but I felt as if it was 2 in the morning I was so tired. We chatted about each others days, and said our "miss you's, love you's, sleep wells" over and over.

I ate my mangled noodles, watched pre recorded Supernatural to drool over Jensen Ackles. Yes, I adore good looking men, but I would never stray!!!

I crawled up to bed at 10pm, and slept straight through until 9am. Up, breakfast, milky coffee and off for my eye test.

I had already chosen one set of frames, purple of course, with diamantes on the arms, when they said they had lost them I chose another pair. They then found the first pair, and told me if I bought the first pair I would get the second free. Two matching glass cases later I went in for my test.

The good news, my eyes haven't deteriorated much, the bad news, it's enough for me to have to wear glasses all of the time. But at least they will be pink and purple!!!

I can collect them tomorrow!! Woooohoooooo! A new car and two new pairs of glasses in one day. What more could a girl ask for.

Apart from her hubby being home giving her the biggest snuggle ever of course.

I'm off too see Clever Crafting Friend soon. I still feel so guilty that I couldn't give her her presents on time, or even on the day she came to see me. I hope she'll forgive me. I'm sure she'll understand.

Time to go. Could this be the longest post yet?

One final thing. K, The Gentleman, feel free to read, feel free to ask me about things at work. Feel free to leave a comment if you want, feel free to read every day if you are so inclined. I'm sorry if I snapped on Thursday, and I'm sorry if my asking about an attractive man offended you. I can, and do look. But you saw me and hubby at the Christmas party. I adore him, and would never ever do anything to hurt him. I'm more paranoid about it being the other way round.

My secrets are my secrets. I've shared my blog, I'm sharing my secrets, please, please, help me keep them.

Hugs and love

Cha Cha Cha Changes....

As I mentioned before, my days at work have been swapped this week due to training, and extra cover needed for that. Maybe it was an omen. Maybe I was meant to be in work on Monday?

I arrived early, as always, and was setting up my desk, turning pc on etc. A member of our team arrives for work, is called straight in to see Boss S, and only comes back to clear out her desk, collect her belongings, and leave without saying goodbye. It was confirmed by supervisor S, that she had left. It's strange, but none of us were shocked. Things have happened in the past, which I knew little about, but brought forward the idea in my mind, that she wouldn't stay for long.

K on the sales desk immediately said "and then there were three". Another chapter closed, one person down. Maybe for the better, maybe for the worst. We won't know for definate for a while, but I know what my feelings are.

So, training and meetings commenced, and J and I did our best during what turned out to be a very busy morning. Everytime I went to input an order the phone rang, everytime I tried to resolve a query from a previous phone call it rang again. Just when I thought I had caught up, another query reared it's head. But, I loved it.

J and I get along well, he helps me a lot, and I do my best to help him where I can. Strange how my first instincts about him were completely wrong, and for once I had worked up the courage to talk to someone about how things were. I had never done that before, ever. I did it, we were both thinking the wrong thing, and we started again. I'm glad we did. He is an excellent work colleague. He works hard, but at the same time puts people at their ease, and makes them laugh. If ever you read this J, I'm sory for my initial response to you, and I hope you have forgiven me. Im so glad I was wrong!

A brief lunch break, where I rang my Mum to tell her what had happened. Back in, and into training. Yet another person who thought I was new to the company! But, I developed my knowledge further, and got full marks on the questionnaire at the end. WTG Whisky!

Back to work for half an hour and then home.

Milky coffee, and a phone call from hubby. I told him details of the day, and as always put my foot in it. I told him how I missed him. How my first half an hour at work is always spent feeling low, as I know I won't see him for days. I then tried to make it sound right. I dont want him to feel guilty for working away. I just wanted him to know I miss him when he isn't here.

Phone down, and I got cosy for some good tv programmes, Prison Break being one of them. It amazes me how many twists and turns there are in that programme. I no longer just sit and drool over the lead man Wentworth Miller, but sit and try and work out how they will get out of their current situation. And my guesses are normally wrong!

Up to bed at 1am, alarm clock set for eleven thirty. I hit snooze once, then turned the alarm off. Big mistake. Yet another long sleep, too long, most of the day gone. Another 15 hours gone in dreamland.

It's really the only downside of my disease right now. I feel well, so far I am coping well at work with the hours, and the gradual increase. When I am home I am doing more, washing and tidying up. Which previously I couldn't manage even before I returned to work.

My mind is yet again trying to tell me I am 100 per cent. My body holds up during the day. Letting me work, run around the office, tootle around at home, do my avon. But then, if I let it, it will shut down for fifteen or sixteen hours at a time. Is it healing itself even further? Is it recouperating from what I am putting it through,is it telling me I need to do less? Or is it just shouting at me to remind me I never will be one hundred percent.

Maybe I should listen to my body, or my mind more. Right now I'm confused. It's letting me do what I want to do with no "messages". Then just when I think everything is fine, it makes me sleep for fifteen hours.....and still feel as if I could sleep more?

Darned Crohn's. I would say I won't let it defeat me......but I have to. I have to meet it half way. Do what I can, and let my body recover itself in it's own way. If that means sleeping in, to hell with it. At least it means that I can function (hopefully) for the rest of the week. Especially with a big weekend coming up.

A test drive in a car, a birthday, a dinner with my parents on Sunday. Hopefully and ice skating session, with me hopefully not falling over. I need to conquer my fear of landing on my butt guys!

So. It's all change at work. A new member will be brought into the fold. No doubt that Boss S, and SUpervisor S will choose someone who fits in. Someone who works hard, but at the same time can laugh with us, and make us laugh. Fingers crossed.

For now,

Hugs and love

Pffffffffffft! To HTML!!!!

I have just spent three hours trying to encode my links sections to roll up or drop down. Basically shorten the list on my sidebar. Can I do it......nup! So....if any sympathetic reader feel like e mailing me a code I can enter into my template to do this for my Blog links and archives, feel free. Whisky is now seeing double and seing "_"" in triple. yuck!

Yesterday work was hard. We were three team players down, leaving Boss S, obviously having to do things Boss S does, which none of us can help with, which is completely understandable :). J in another section helping us. But bless him, he has his own department to run. I did my best inputting orders, taking calls, doing the EDI's which normally consume one person all day. We did it, we survived, got all the orders on, all the phone calls and quieries answered, and hopefully all of the EDI's went out without fault. What a day!

But....while we were working so hard, also formed a bond. We pulled together, helped each other out, asked each other for help and got it, and vica versa. It was hard work, but it was fun! We even had the customers laughing along with us :)

There was one person who called late on to ask if I had passed a message on to the one person in technical, I hadn't had chance, the person who answered the call, who had just that minute stepped out of training. Politely but firmly told him that I had been on sales all day on my own, I had done all I could, the fact that I hadn't passed his message on, but had managed to get 600 orders out of the door on my own soon brought him back to reality, and he passed on his sincerest apologies. I should coco! I know my new nickname at work is "Wonderwoman" But obviously my gold lasoo wasn't working as well as it should have been.

I had planned a really long post.......but, hubby has just walked through the door!!!!!!!

Oh, SIL, Thursday's are your day off, Firday's are mine LOL. How many phonecalls?!

I'll ring you later Love youuuuuuuu!!!!

Hugs

Friday Is Pamper Day!

Thursday I awoke to see snow, snow and more snow.....it fell all day and was wonderful! I managed to make it to Mum and Dad's in the car. We made a snowman for the little girl next door, rolled it round to her garden and her mum and dad wondered what we were doing and thought I was a little crazy :) But.....she loved it!

Mum and I caught the bus to the hospital to see Mr R. I did have to put my foot down with a firm hand when his registrar walked in. They should know by now I ONLY see Mr R himself. In he walked, happy as ever. Checked my wounds, told me off for being at work, and said for me to bugg** off for another six months! I haven't been on six monthly check ups for four years, so for me, and my disease, this is a BIG breakthrough!

Back to Mum's off out in the car, shopping, paying papers, getting petrol, collecting prescriptions, lunch, housework and ironing, dropped mum off home, and back I came to relax on the sofa.

Hubby eventually rang, let's just say his phonecalls this week have either interupted my dinner, or been at 10.30pm not amused!

Up at 6am, at work for 08.45 regardless of the snow and ice.....the UK still had four inches! Work was good. A full enjoyable day, until....the snow pulled down our phone lines, which meant we were all sent home 15 minutes early.

Home, hubby back, a quick coffee and over to Sis In Laws for our girly pamper evening.

I was the first person to put my name down for an Angel Card reading, then an eyebrow pluck, and then a neck head and shoulder massage using aromatherapy oils. I tried to help a little with the "work". Setting up glasses and bowls of crisps, and helping with the raffle, but I think I was more of a hinderance than a help.

My Angel Card reading was extremely accurate. In fact spot on. I won't go into detail here, but needless to say she mentioned my current "problems" with a certain person. The advice was for me to resolve them once and for all, to make my own decisions and not rely on other people's advice. Spooky!

Eyebrows plucked, I had my aromatherapy massage. Considering I was in a room full with approx 30 people, it was that good I forgot where I was!

SIL took me back to hers, and left to pick up her neighbour. I was falling asleep on the sofa!. I then fell asleep in the car on the way home, up to bed........I had asked hubby not to wake me. Worst mistake ever after a busy week, two extremely early starts, and an aromatherapy masage. Let's just say I slept for 16 hours solid. Yes you read that right.....16 hours!

So, I haven't seen much of today. I had my breakfast when I should have been eating my dinner, and I forgot to get my Avon books in. Ooops!

Holli, my e mail is back up now.....please drop me a line as I'm worried about you now!

Typical. NTL swap over to Virgin media, and my e mail does a bunk. Thank goodness it's back today, as some of you may have guessed as I've bombarded you with e mails ;)

I'm all prepared for this week's SPC for once! But.......I have had another idea. Once I've posted this, it will be above this post.

My "problem" still isn't resolved, I doubt it ever will be. Some people are just born the way they are and there's no changing them. I did talk about it with my Mum, she was extremely surpised that this was happening, and told me in no uncertain terms she wouldn't stand for it. I have some thinking to do. I have some talking to do, but it needs to be at the right time. I need control of the things I don't have control of. I need something to re assure me that if I need to "go it alone" there is something for me to fall back on. I need material security, and right now I have none. Let's just say "pocket money". I'm 35 not 14. Married, not single, partly own a house, but am treated like a lodger.

I've said too much already, but you guys know this is playing on my mind big time.

Hugs for now

I Managed It.........Just

Wednesday afternoon at work was the usual, still one person down, but nice and busy. The time flew by and it was soon 4.30pm and time for me to go home. Milky coffee, talked to hubby :) and I made myself have an early night in preparation for my full day of work on Thursday.

I must have slept straight through, which I was relieved about, as I had slept poorly at the beginning of the week, as the next thing I knew it was 6.30 and time to get up.

Breakfast, bath, dress, I looked out of the living room window and panicked! I knew that the main road I use to go to work was closed for road works, so I would therefore have to take an alternative and longer route. What I hadn't planned for was that my poor ickle purple car would be covered in thick lumpy frost! You know the kind that is half frost and half frozen snow. The kind that is physically impossible to remove from windows unless you have the muscles of Hulk Hogan!

That was my car.

I quickly made up my flask of milky coffee, donned my coat, hat and gloves, double checked the contents of my handbag. House keys, pen, energy drink x 2, can of coke, flask of milky coffee, and other essential items, and out I went.

Imagine. A 5ft 2" 9 stone weakling scraping superglued frost from her car.

I tried the sideways scrape. Excellent for removing the delicate frost. But useless for the lumpy frost.

The up and down ways scrape. Ok, until you get stuck in a lump and then the shock reverberates up your arm and into your shoulder.

The random pick a spot and scrape it scrape. Again ok until you get to the lumps.

In the end I went for the random whack it scrape. Pick a loose bit and scrape at the rate of roughly 1000 scrapes a minute until you can no longer breath, rest start again.

I ended up, with frost/snow in my shoes, all over my trousers and the arms of my coat, in my hair.....and gawd knows how but up my nose as well!

I got into my car, just about to remove gloves and fasten seat belt. Guess what I had forgot?

The bloomin windscreen!

So....at this point, already feeling as if I have done a full days work, I opted for the cannned de icer, (Sorry to the ozone layer here). I picked up one can.....could I get the lid off it? Could I nuts! Second and larger can lid already off, and away I went.

I sprayed for england, each and every centimetre of the windscreen had a good splattering. Windscreen wipers on........jammed. I lifted them to release them and got a face full of slush mixed with de icer. Sprayed again, and again and again and soon the windscreen was clear! Wooohoooooo!.

Into the car, wet cold gloves removed, rear window nicely defrosted due to the heated window. cigarette out, lighter in hand. Hmmmmmm, is de icer flammable. Is there enough remaining on my finely plucked eyebrows to enable me to burst into flames in my car.....well at least if that happens it will be thoroughly defrosted.

To hell with it. I tentatively lit my lighter, brought it closer to my cigarette, all safe and off I set on my journey.

Sorry if this is a long post, it's about to get longer.

I've always been told by both my Dad and hubby, in icy weather, when the roads are slippy. Play it safe. Drive slowly, and with the car in a higher gear than it needs to be. So......5 miles an hour in 3rd gear worked well until some moron decided to pull out on me. I avoided the natural instinct to slam my foot on the brake, and slightly tapped the brake with my delicate size 6 shoe. Luckily the moron and his car had already passed me as my tail end swerved from side to side down the remainder of the road!

Main roads, ice free, alternative route, and I still got to work with fifteen minutes to spare!

I had been told the day before by my supervisor that if it was icy in the car park I was to ring up to the office and someone would come and get me from my car to the door in safety. the last thing I need is to land on my butt!

I took a risk. Walked along the pebbled gaps in the car park and made it in one piece.

Into work, slaving away until the morning meeting. Always a team meeting on a Thursday morning. it felt good to be there for it :)

At about eleven am I started to fade, and fast. My brain, eyes and fingers were no longer connected. I reached into my bag, pulle out my flask, and took five to drink my milky but strong coffee. I was back on top form and raring to go.

Lunch, in the car chains smoking as they have closed the smoke room, and there is no way I am standing in a bike shed to smoke!

Back into work and it was soon 5 oclock and time to go. Boss S had checked on em all day that I was ok, and I was.

Home, milky coffee, feet up, bath, yes another one! Mum rang to say she had been worried about me all day. I rang Sis In Law and we had a scream!

Tammy had found my blog via the Be Connected website, and also takes part in the Self Portrait Challenge. She had left me a lovely comment, that Sis In Law had read, and clocked on the link to her website. She was reading things out to me from Tammy's website that had us both in stitches. I'm sure Tammy knows that this in in no way ridiculing her site. She just has the most fantastic sense of humour that is down both mine and Sis In Law's street. Now every time I think of Tammy, I think of a woman in a velcro suit!

I've a feeling my garden of friends is soon to have another seed planted :)

On that note, with laughter in the air, I ate my dinner, and headed up to bed. On my way into the bedroom I caught site of myself in the mirror. I looked terrible. I knew I felt tired, but I didn't realised I looked as bad as I did!! Grey completely pale skin, eyes sunken with dark circles underneath them. Scary! That effect after just one full day at work. How the hell did I used to manage five full days. What has happened to my strength! Did Mr R the surgeon remove that when he removed my wounds? I'll have to ask him when I see him in a fortnight.

Yet again, I forgot, not only do I have the Crohn's I also have two other conditions that sap strength from my body. I will fight them and try to gradually build up my energy. Hopefully I will win when I get to three full days. If I don't I will admit defeat, and hope that work will stick by me.

What a day.......what a blog.

Today, after a lovely lie in with no alarm clock I am refreshed and awake. Waiting for hubby's return. To see his smile, to smell his aftershave, hear his voice and most of all, to be wrapped in his arms and hear him tell me he loves me.

I'll blog soon......don't be too scared. LOL.

If you have battle with the lumpy frost.........I hope you win like I did :)

Hugs galore

We Have Snow!

It only started at midnight last night, but it looked thick and heavy, light floaty flakes that covered the ground within seconds. When I got up this morning, there was still the odd scattering around, but it looks like the the roads are frozen over.....black ice, I hope not!

Thanks to Avon no longer accepting cheqies via the post office, I have to make yet another visit to make a payment. I have to get a prescription from the pharmacy, and all of this with some of the roads closed on my way to work!

Today is my Daddy's Birthday!!!!! I know he doesn't read the blog.....but him and Mum mean the world to me. They have done so much for me and hubby throughout my illness. They let me stay with them after a particularly long hospital stay. They ran my bath for me every morning, brought me breakfast in bed, let the nurses in who were doing my dressings, helped me downstairs and settled me on the sofa. Cared for me whilst I was in pain, and embarrassed.

So......today is my Dad's day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!

Work yesterday, again one person down was busy. But it was fun. The people that are there are fun, caring, and hard working. It makes for a pleasant few hours at work. The majority of the customers are fun too. They understand me when I incorrectly enter a code for a stock check and tell them my brain isn't connected to my fingers, or even try and enter the stock check on my calculator!! Dippy Whisky.

Home last night, milky coffee, washing, out to collect the lady's Avon money and give her her cheque back, collect some more books. I had a quick bath to warm me up as it was freezing! Hubby rang and we had a lovely chat.....I miss him more this week, but that's due to the "monthly's".

A late dinner and watched tv. I was just heading upstairs when I heard the tapping on the roof. Turned on the outside light, and there were the snowflakes drifting down to the ground.

A beautiful way to end a day.

I must fly.

Hugs to all

Whisky In A Pickle

Yes, I'm in a pickle, and possible in trouble, and was up until a few moments ago in floods of tears.

Yesterday work was extremely extremely busy. Two people down on sales, two people left, me being only there for half a day, and a very kind person from another department helping us. There were orders like I have never seen before. It's as if the customers know when we are short staffed and save up their orders for then.

Amongst this I was called up to a meeting room to see Boss S. Without going into too much detail, even though I have only been back at work for approx two months, they have awarded me a pay rise.

I was gobsmacked. We, as a team, finally managed to get all of the orders on and I made my way home. No I didn't do the weekly shop as mentioned yesterday, I was too exhausted.

I spoke to Mum and mentioned about the pay rise, and then it clicked. I could be in deep deep trouble.

The letter was dated 8th January, I was given it on the 18th January, and the pay increase would be effective from the 1st January. This would mean, that for the last three weeks I have been, without knowing it, over my allowance to be entitled to my disability payments!!!! Panicccccccccccccccccc.

Hubby rang, I discussed it with him, we worked out my new hourly rate, and I worked out how much per week I was earning over my allowance, all of £2.53. But it was still fraud!

This morning I rang the relevant department and spoke to a lovely chap. I explained I had previously filled in a form declaring my earnings, that I was due to ring him this week anyway to advise that as from next week I would be over that, and need to be disqualified from benefit payment. Then I turned into jelly, burst into tears and told him I could be in trouble. I explained the situation and he immediately told me not to worry. Yes I was over the allowance, did I know I was up until yesterday, NO! He told me it was totally out of my hands and I had done nothing wrong. This months payment may well be recalled as it has already been payed out......but he thought that could be unlikely as I am only over my weekly allowance by pence.

I have to write a letter to them explaining the situation and wait for it to be reviewed.

There's me, worried the police will come knocking on my door over an overpayment of £2.53, when there are other people out there who get thousands of pounds from disability payments and are found to be not ill at all. They are watched by people with video camera's. Claiming they have an injured back, carrying boxes, wheeling wheelbarrows, on holiday water ski ing and still claiming their payments. They are the people that are de frauding the system.......me, I just got caught out unawares. But I still got upset. That's how genuine a person I am. How honest I am, hoe worried about getting into trouble I am.

If every person was like me, the government would have lot more money to put into things like hospitals and schools. But not everyone is as genuine as I am.

So, I'm quickly blogging before I go to see Clever Crafting Friend. Hopefully my eyes won't be puffy by then!

Then I will get home, and hubby will either be on his way, or already there. Wooohoooooo!

I love Fridays! A whole weekend of hubby, snuggles, cuddles, tickles, talking, laughter and most importantly, love.

I've gone from upset Whisky to mushy Whisky :) all in one blog.

This is one of the reasons I adore blogging. It's an outlet for my panics, for my thoughts, for my dreams and aspirations. It keeps me in touch with my friends, whether near to me, or thousands of miles away. I can be the "real" me on here.

Anyway......have a brilliant weekend guys and gals.

Lots of love and Whisky hugs for all

Appraisal Praise

Yesterday at work I had my appraisal. I raised a few points regarding my return to work, but none were too negative, in fact only one was.....I want my cordless headset back!!!!! Trying to stretch my cord over to the fax trays is ridiculous, and I nearly end up hanging myself in the process.

Anyway, Boss S had made a few point about me. My professionalism, my positive attitude, my bubbliness and sense of humour, my willingness to work, my hardworkingness (if that's a word). How it is a pleasure to have me back etc etc etc. Remember I don't do praise!!! I sat there squirming in my chair. Ok ok enough of the wonder woman stuff, it's what I'm paid to do LOL.

I was supposed to finish at four, but there were just so many orders I jung on to help them enter them. Then I got the orders whipped off me by the team leader, and told to go home!

Home, milky coffee, watched Paul O Grady, and tidied up before Mum comes round today. I changed the bed and did some washing, then settled down to watch Celebrity Big Brother, then a progamme about a shooting at a school in America which I found highly disturbing. Up to bed, then I decided at 1am to do a shopping list so I can do the weekly shop tonight on my way home to give hubby some more time for himself at the weekend. I'm not 100% sure this will happen yet, it depends how I feel when I get out of work.....but at least I thought about it!

Sis In Law rang to catch up on things and invited me out to a girl night. Reflexology, Angel card readings, Indian Head Massage, crystal therapy....and you can buy things there as well......Whisky's idea of heaven!! Just a shame there isn't a spiritualist medium there as well so I could get a reading.

The last one I had was pretty accurate, but that was about 16 years ago. If anyone is willing to come with me to one in my home town, let me know as I would love to go again, and know where there is one!

This morning, tired, reading blogs, and the post drops through the door. Now....not only do I have my new sim with 300 free texts and uk minutes on it.....but I have a new cover for my phone! And guess what...........it's purple!!!! De nuuuuuuhhhhh!

That's another job for hubby at the weekend LOL, along with changing the lightbulb in the hall lamp.

So, here I am, another working week nearly over, and a whole new one set to begin. Next Thursday I will work my first full day in 2 years and six months! I bet at the end of that day I will be a comlete jelly ball of exhaustion.

Tomorrow I visit CCF and hubby will be home. Then a blissful weekend of cuddles and snuggles and someone to tickle my feet at night LOL.

I'll love you and leave you. SIL do you have a copy of High School Musical? The double 2 box set? If you do please may I borrow it for a while? If not.....I might be stumped LOL

Hugs and snuggles for all

Thumbs Down For Tesco Mobile!!!

After getting one of the guys at work to take the back off my phone, which I couldn't manage to do, I finally put in my new sim card only to find my phone was blocked! I had already phoned o2 to get the authorisation code to keep my old number and was ready to go apart from this.

I rang Tesco mobile and was told that to unlock my phone I had to top up with £30 first!!! I told him politely it was a comlete rip off as I would then have £30 pounds of credit to use plus 300 free texts and minutes. Bye bye Tesco.

So, this morning I did a simple google, unlock tesco phone. Paid £2.99 via Pay Pal, received a code for my phone, entered it, replaced the sim and voila!!! It worked. Wooooohooooooo! I'm up and running. I have just rung Virgin and given them the pac code, and should be transferred back to my old number within a week Yesssss. Normality will resume.

Firstly I text hubby on my new temporary number to let him know it was all sorted, then I text C to tell her to expect a phone call. In fact I have loads of minutes to spare so watch out for your phone ringing if you are in the uk!!

I'm due to see Clever Crafting Friend on Friday and I can't wait. It was only the week before Christmas that we saw each other last, and yes I did notice that she stirred my milky coffee at least a hundred times (wink wink, and thankyou). I'm sure she has plenty to tell me, but after yesterday I have plenty to tell her as well! But no CCF it's not to do with "whatever".

Work yesterday was mental, somethings went on that I can't discuss here, it started strange, and ended even stranger. The atmosphere was terrible. Not with all of us, but just......well just.

I have my appraisal today and I'm sure I will be told all I need to know. There was lots of whispering yesterday, and everytime I thought I could hear I started singing out loud. I don't do listening in on private conversations....it's just not me. At first I was worried that all of the goings on were linked to me, or the dreaded R word. Redundancies. But no, it was centred around someone else entirely.

Got home, had my milky coffee and filled in my Avon forms. Delivered books and orders, got home, oven on, and waited for hubby to ring. We had a long chat. After all I had lots to tell him. Poor chat, I bet he thinks I never stop talking!

I've had a good response to the Self Portrait Challenge, and I will try and put the "button" on the page as soon as I have a minute to spare. It seems the last two days have been spent sorting out sim cards, lost packages, and work.

Anyway.....I really must go, I'm ready to leave for work, but there's one e mail I must do before I go :)

Hugs galore

Boooooh to Tesco Mobile!!
